New here and looking for any tips or advice!

Cmon' man you Know a good set of pre-outs will allow you to run two amps... just a basic deck is in order in the application you're suggesting ... using the amps X-Overs WILL limit you're adjust-ability on the fly... but if their set right It'll sound great... you SHOULD be put into someones car and exposed to 151-2 db of absolute mayhem... 12 hz IS on the playlist... this WILL put your 6x9 dreams to rest... and imaging is crazy... a little harsh for me but VERY centered and Midbassy...

And before someone says... WTF?.. y'all know this IS a basic system taken to the limits... LOL!

Still need to fuse...unless your one of those people that don't fuse....to have fuses in between, a fused distro block.
I will have 8awg fused wire going to my 300 rms speaker amp and I will have 6awg fused wire going to my 500 rms sub amp. Completely separate from each other. No distro block. The fuses will be within 18" of the battery.

Shoot Home Depot or lowes will even cut it. Now I didn't say they will cut it straight lol but have them cut it a 1" wider than needed and circle saw the excess off for your straight lines. Or I just hand the guy a 10$ bill and say make sure they are perfect and works every time for me lol
When I used to build a new box every week or so I figured out who was good at running the saw at the local home depot. Plan it right and you only need a router and drill to assemble when you get the pieces home.

So when I'm installing the new HU do I just leave the speaker output leads unattached since I'm running wires from the amp to the existing wires or should I wire the amp wires in with the head unit and have double amplified speakers?

Am I understanding you correctly?.. wiring the amplifier speaker leads along with H/U speaker leads... BOTH combined powering the same speakers?

Yes that's what I'm asking. Should I do that or should I only wire the amp wires since signal will come from the rcas

Never combine the Deck power with the amp power... Who told you that was a good idea?.. LOL!

No one lol I just wasn't sure since ive never wired an amp for door speakers before. This is why I joined here though, for expert advice and so I don't f*ck up my sh*t lol

That's good you asked before the outputs in the amp or deck got fried...
