Hey guys, I've been lurking for a while and decided to start posting since I'm going to be doing a new install soon.
I'm not as old school as some of you guys but I did get into car audio back when Elemental Designs (still owned by Ben) was new and had a flat piston eA15, the Rubicons had tons of fins and Aura made neodymium components and big *** amps. I've always kept an okay set of components in my vehicles since but nothing like my old installs.
I just got back from a deployment so I thought I'd give my new car a little more oomph. The car is an 07 Honda Element SC. I already have a Kenwood X792 HU and CDT CL61a w/ TW-25 comps. Here's a rundown of what's going in it:
RE SRX15 in a sealed enclosure (false floor, no spare)
Soundstream STL1.600 and STL2.560
SDS CLD Tiles for deadening
Streetwires for power connections and distribution
Techflex and heat shrink on everything (courtesy of FurryLetters)
I like to think this is a budget SQ system with an emphasis on install. The sub should show up today but everything else won't be in until next week so I haven't begun the tear-down/build-up. I'll start a build-log then.
