Dude, its on a display where a bunch of noobs play and f*ck around with it and these brick and mortar shops aren't gonna keep putting new ones up there for them to continue breaking. Also its also likely its a horrible install by the shop(loose wires, bad ground, bad connections

Very little to problems with these head units exept people playing around with RCAs while the car and system is still on, leading to blown pico fuses. Pretty much thats just plain user error. I bought mines used and its still operating perfectly. Many of the seasoned vets that bought the 80 prs when it first came out are still running them without issues.
for your build, i'd switch out the soundqubed components for their pro audio 6.5 and supertweeters. Their component speakers dont hold a candle to their pro audio gear because their pro audio sounds better and is a lot louder. However if you want the perfect sound, you might want to learn how to do an active speaker setup using the 80prs's 2 way active networks.
