Im not going to comment on the vendor activity of other sites, I dont find that to be relevant to this site's activity. They are free to go where ever they want. I will say however that people have accused this site of 'dying' ever since I was a new member here. I learned long ago to take these comments with a huge grain of salt.

As I asked previously, lets get this thread back on topic. If you want to discuss the vendor topic further, please go to the appropriate section/thread to do so. I will delete any more posts here that are off topic. Thanks.

You can get a 4 channel and a Mono, or you can get a 5 channel. Find on that meets your needs and ask about it before you purchase. But if you are planning on running over 1500 rms in that 4 runner you might want to look at adding additional batteries or upgrading the alternator. 1500 may be pushing it to far depending on the stock charging systems condition

and $500 might not cut it. The Type X alone needs about 1000 rms. Plus a 4awg amp kit, decent box, RCA cables.

Find out if your HU can support this. I have one and it does pretty good. And here is a amp for the sub. And amp kit

One of our main goals is to make this site more friendly and less confrontational. I think it has improved a lot in that regard, but my perspective is biased, being that Im a mod.

ok I have a kenwood 4 channel amp now, and Im about to buy the mrp-m1000 alpine 1000 watt mono amp. which sub would you guys recommend, the alpine SWX-1243D 12 inch sub or the alpine SWR-1243D? the difference in price is $140, is the SWX worth the extra $140?
