New guy, have a question about amps....

nope. but you have way better ways to wire subs and speakers.. what if he gets more subs?? do you know that

Why's that? Because 2 is more than 1?
If anything, it's the opposite...and the OP will save money on additional power wires. If you have a 50w X 4 amp and a 200w mono and compared it with a 50 X 4 + 200 x 1 5ch amp, the 5ch amp will usually sound better and have more balls. This has been the case with every 3/5/6ch amp I have ever come across.

Two amplifiers means two power supplies. But a single 5-channel, assuming its a quality product, will have an adequate power supply anyway. Generally speaking, neither approach will 'sound better', even though both have been suggested as being sonically superior in this thread. I usually prefer multiple amps though, as it is easier to upgrade down the road if you decide to change speakers. For example, if you decide later you want to run two massive subs that require more power than your 5th channel of your amp allows, you dont have to purchase new amplification for your entire system.

well thats what i stated earlier they just want to argue hungry for it to as you can see

You have to have valid points to argue something. Btw, this forum has vendor attrition worse than Obama's Hollywood actor and Hip-Hop recording artist support. But you wouldnt have noticed that for whatever reason.
