New comp car

Wonder what you guys think of this deal- i have the opportunity to get 2 1988 jag xj6's for $1,000 (total for both) both run, one has a good body, and a crappier interior, the other has a rough body, good interior. what I'm going to do is take the interior out of the rough one, put it in the good one. now the car i take the interior outta- i want to make a comp car (with a wall, etc) how well do you think this would work?

a Jag would be a very unique SPL car, thats pretty cheap, if you are a hands on person this sounds like a fun project.

eh- i think maintenence sucks on em. however, i know there is companies out there that sell conversion kits to throw a 350 chevy in there.. i think if i do that (to the good one at least) it should be a good reliable project (i have a good car already) any one else have input?

1000 for two aint too bad, i dont think what do you think about the wall in the red one snoop? ive never done a wall, so this would be new.... think the car would be alright for it?

BTW- the silver one- i would drop the 350 in it, paint it, and throw some rims on it...

Yep.. thats what im gonna do.. remember- the car doesnt really have to be drivable, much (the whole reason im not going to fix it up as well, is it doesnt have a title..., and i dont want to mess with it.. ill just use it as a comp car and bmx- thanks for the advise i think i want to try bass race..

hard to get sound from the trunk to the cabin....solid metal behind the rear seats...but it would make a neat project for cheap....you should be able to get most of your money back once you swap your interior out of the spare car....after the motor conversion sell the old motor for some extra money....

if the car is old enough i think it has to be 25 years old i think you can obtain titles for them

yep- also- the gas tank is behind the back seat as well, if i remember correctly. so the good one wouldnt get much but a nice small sq setup, anyways and about the title- im not going to worry about it much.. it will just be a beater/spl kinda car. if i can get it loud. if not- ill junk it, not out much

i don't remember if battery is under the hood or in the trunk....i helped a friend hook up a stereo in one once...it was a bish....
