Ok thx for the advice guys but i really want to stay with a car only and a smaller one at that...at least not a huge car, it doesn't have to be a compact though.

Keep what you have, maybe even downgrade, IMO. College is not about the car, you won't have to use it a whole lot anyway if you are living on campus. It is best to have money to travel on a moments notice, buy beer, buy books, buy lap dances etc.

Plus, a grandma car is perfect for comfortably hauling people, and having your car paid off is a good feeling, as opposed to egging on more debt.
