New car, what to chose?

yeh i saw that.. how many miles should i buy it with and how much should i expect to pay, im looking at auto trader now.. IM me at jd154g in AIM so i can ask u some shit.

didnt they stop making imapals at '96?

they redesigned them to a fairy *** fwd family car, i think the impala was dead long before then though...

i'd look for an old police special crown vic, overhaul the interior and all that, you'll have a good car with a strong motor etc. miles on police cars are diceving though... they run them constantly

The altima 3.5 motor is the VQ35 that is in the 350Z, good motor, not much potential for modding, but a good solid motor.

I 2nd the crown vic.

You ever think of an old 5.0? I believe the 93's(?) came stock with forged pistons. Very easy to mod, and make a decent low 13-high 12 sec car with all the bolt-ons and a nice bumbstick. If you do heads, youll gain a lot as well. Could be in the 300-330rwhp range when all said in done, which would allow for decent getup and go w/ your audio setup.

Ever think of an older Monte Carlo? Like 87 style. G-bodies are known for their menacing appearance. Easy to fit rims on, bags easy, and parts are super cheap for them. When I was working in my trunk, I could sit in it and still fit some more people in there, definately 2-3 dead bodies worth.

87 Monte Carlo SS...454 mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I say otherwise. I believe the 96 Imp SS was the last muscle car. Fit all the right descriptions, and had the old-school "Im a muh-phukin' badass" look to it that demanded your respect upon any form of recognition. The impala SS was recognized by all as something above the norm.

as long as you take care of them... very reliable, good to build from the frame up, you can make them a show car or a (very heavy) rice killer. if you can try and find one that wasn't used for patroling... im guessing they get abused less. my old boss was a cop and told me plenty of stories about the fun they had in their cars... lets just say the rental saying goes for work cars too

Hmm... look into the older 84-87 G-bodies.

You could look for the Monte Carlo's,or even...and this is only if YOU want to.. go with a t-type... They are my car, except the exterior is white/grey/brown/silver. They go for around 5k, look good w/ dubs, and will be fast as FUK if you listen to me.

From what it sounds like though, you should get the crown vic.

But take this as a warning, I would spend all my money now on getting a car that I really wanted (SS,or T-type) rather than getting a car I mediocrely want, just so I can make it look cool right away.

What is that? Looks so familiar.

I say an old Bel-Air, red with white, tubbed, either a Nitrous BBC, or a TT SBC based off an LSx platform, most likely a TT 427, or maybe a 421 or 422 with the ability to take a 200-300 shot.

OR just a nice 67 nova with a 10-71 545
