The only difference between the cop car and normal crown vic is suspension and cooling mods. MOST cop cars had dual exhuast which was a 10hp improvement over stock. The shocks and springs are heavier duty and the ALT. is bigger, the radiator hoses are usually blue silicone for more burst strength. The Mark 7 is a good choice just watch for busted air bags in the suspension. Other than that any mod that bolts to a stang 5.0 bolts to a Mark 7....and you can even do a 5spd swap fairly easy.

like what? i dont want an asian car....my dad brought home this pimped out 88 Benz 300SEL, but the interior was terrible and yea wasnt worth the fixing.
also im not really looking for speed....just something to drive around in and reliability

That's totally backwards. If you want reliability, get a Honda, Toyota, Nissan, etc. If you want a piece of junk that's going to fall apart, get a Ford, Chevy, etc. Hate to say it, but American cars ****. They are not reliable at all compared to Japanese cars. Get an older Honda Civic or something, those things last forever. A Ford however, is going to give you problem after problem. (Side note, avoid Korean cars. Worse than American.)
