New car...help me change my dads mind

So I get a new car here in 3months. If you all remember my old which vehicle would you choose thread...well..now that its closer to time my dad is wanting to narrow it down. Pretty much he wants me to get a Honda. Preferrably (sp?) Accord or Civic. Well the Accord with V6 and 6mt is too much but the new Si is perfect price range. The Si is nice and all it's just...the fact that its a civic. (I drive a 95 Z32 so its yea...you'll understand..)

I REALLY want a 1500 Ram Quad Cab 4.7L 5spd....all black throw some 24's on it...3 5 drop.....etc Only thing is my bro has one and is wanting to sell it cuz of gas. So that's keeping my dad away from the Ram idea.

How can I get my dad to change his mind? (If he doesnt its fine...it'd be a brand new 2006/07 Si black etc so im not complaining either way...)

Dunno if that's what I saw, but I saw one at the dealership when I was with my buddy and it was pretty nice. He also got an 06 civic as a loner for a few days....nice little car. It's way nicer than what 99% at my school drove, so why you *****ing? You can't get a new ram for near that. Ram also=more gas $, more insurance $, more repair $ and so on.

As long as you don't rice it, the new civics are pretty nice imo.

Aside from that - I'm thinking of it this way....

1) A brand new Civic. For free, essentially.

2) The new Civics looks pretty good to me.

3) They're historically as reliable as an oak tree.

4) It will be much more fuel efficient than any pickup would (with gas better than $2.50/gallon in most places this would be an important consideration in any car buying process were it me....)

5) Refer to #1.

If my parents wanted to buy be a brand new honda when I was 17, I would have been all over that bish. Not having to worry about $ to maintain it, lower insurance, higher gas mileage.

I am all over it too guys. We can get either the ram or the Si for literally same price. We got my bro's 1500 for ~16K brand new. Considering they run for 25ish usually.

I'm gonna be happy with whatever. It's his money so yeah. Either way like i said im not complaining

Why would your parents just outright BUY you a car?

Shouldnt you have to pay at least part of it or something? And why would you want anyone to help convince your dad to get you something different?

If you really want the truck, tell him you will pay the difference in it and the car he offered to buy you.

He just wants to buy me a car when I'm 18. He did it for all my 3 brothers too...I'm not complaining. The Si will **** the Ram in mpg.

IF I get Ram: 3-5 drop, 24's, 5% tint on quad cab and rear, black, blacked tails, exhaust out by passenger side and (2) 18's or 15's plus dvd etc

Si: ecu, cai, catback (get test pipes instead of cats) 18's, prolly somewhere lik nitto 555's cuz those are some sticky tires, eventually get that K20 blown (once out of house..) audio also prolly just (2) 12's and dvd etc same as ram
