New Box Pics! (Video will come soon!)

this install looks very neat! You must be proud of it. I am unable to view your vids at the office unfortunately. IIRC you had a different enclosure before or am I wrong? Ifso, how does it compare? And secondly why didn't you go for lower than 36Hz?
I wish I had the time and space to start my new enclosure //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif
Thanks for the response! I had a POS pre-fab 1 cube sealed in there to start. Went to a 2 cube @ 36 enclosure. The reason i went with 36hz is because i wanted to keep some of the high end, but also have good low-end extension. It sounds great, but i think i will tune lower next time. around 32 or so. But, other than that, I love the improvement.

I have a feeling you directed this at me, so here is how you are wrong. Two words can disprove your entire post.

HOME AUDIO.

thats all, think about it.
Or even rolling down a window in a hatchback...

I am glad to see some guys on here that agree with my point of view. Home audio, rolling windows down, opening a door, hell, opening a sunroof, all can contribute to what cowboy was talking about. And, once again, I feel that if any of these things had negative effect on equipment, there would be many unhappy people out there.

Curious, rlcowboy, if you are done with this thread, then why are you still here viewing it? hmm, why don't you tell me that, KID?

and, in response to the "thanks for having my back" comment i made to saywhat, it was not like a "you against me" comment. it was more of a "at least you know what i am getting at, i don't understand what rlcowboy means" comment. nothing negative was meant. This is far from an apology, as i don't believe you deserve one, but more of a clarifying of facts. You are an 06'er, i am an 06'er, and there is a ton of us on here. You "saying" you have x amount of years experience in car audio is like me "saying" i am the president of Google; talk is talk, prove your worth.

Holy giant paragraph with many topics!

I'm not willing to comment on the existence or cause of "suspension fatigue" since I don't know enough about it to take a stance, but even if it is a problem that a lot of people aren't aware of, how can we avoid the situation? Do you recommend to your clients that they should never play their stereo with the windows rolled down after an install with a ported box???

Having your window open has nothing to do with causing suspension fatigue. It is caused by not having anything for the driver to load off of, and even more likely to happen in a ported invironment. Home audio?? Home sub load off the walls in a house so who knows what he's talking about. There r even more problems besides suspension fatigue that can happen when u play your driver without anything to load off of!! Saywhat kid has NO idea what I am talking about at all. I guess now he'll have to find two NEW words to disprove me huh? He's so funny, you can't help but laugh at him, lol. Bassmekanik is such an 06er, what a noob, gotta love that kiddo though!!!! Whay to go sport!!

Chill my friend. Don't be so acute because you'll never learn anything that way and that's the reason for this forum -- to learn.

I'm not talking about Saywhat. I'm trying to understand what you are saying for myself. You said that playing that ported box with the hatch open would cause "suspension fatigue". How is having the hatch open any different than having a window rolled down?

Once again, rlcowboy, I thought you were done with this thread? I believe you said something about beating a dead horse in one of your many idiotic posts. Please cease from posting in this thread unless you have something constructive to say to me. Because, from what i have seen of you and your actions, the only kid here is you.

geo, I in no way was trying to apologize to u!! but most of that was not directed at you at all but to the other two guys that had nothing but smart remarks about stuff I know alot about but look back after that one guy said to shut up, then u wrote x2 and lol'd. Why, I did'nt say anything about you and would'nt have about either of them if I wasnt attacked first. Im not like that but when it come to car audio I know my stuff and I was just trying to help u out a little, but that long post, well 98% was to them, not u. Look I dont want to be enimies with u or anyone so lets put this behind us and just chalk it all up to a mis understanding? It up to u?

you're an idiot. i had my amp mounted directly on the enclosure of my 15" BTL. it flexed the box like hell, and i had no problem with anything "falling apart" on my amp.
