hmm as i said, i put the box so that the port would be facing outwards...and it sounded worse. i didn't believe it either but my ears don't lie too me much:laugh:

Depending on your goals I wouldnt have done it like that either lol.

have you tried it with the port firing into the spare tire well? thats how mine was loudest sometimes

My first box fired into the deck, was fing LOUD!!! (Check Gallery)

But i haven't tested it any other way so no comparison. I see nothing wrong with his port, other then it's easier for things to drop in it.

I don't think they were commenting on the fact that you placed your box like that, but rather that you built your box like that. In general (unless space dictates otherwise), the port and sub fire in the same direction.

As stated though, if you're happy, it's a perfect box.
