Well i finally got some time and built my box today. Ended up bein 5.7 cubes before sub and port displacement. The port goes from 104sq'' tuned to 44.33hz to 51sq'' tuned to 32.75hz with the port plug i made (according to winISD).

Well tell me what ya think of it. (box is for 2 RE HC 12's)

Wow that sub is dirty, all the saw dust was nuts. So how do ya guys think i should finish it? Some of my friends have suggested i should try to find a paint to match the outside of my car (forest green) but i think just a plain black will be fine, dont wanna go into carpeting and all. Sorry for the long post guys!

box looks great man //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

i probably wouldnt try to match the color of my car...but its up to you

looks pretty **** nice! keep up the good work.

as for a finish, i'd go with flat black......makes it undetectable by enemy radar, ya know //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that box looks really nice man!

if i were you i would either match the paint to the interior or the exterior of your vehicle, that way it looks like it was made for that car and you actually put some time into it.

Thanks guys. Hopefully this box fits in my car this time, unlike the last one, but i think it will. I had help from another cavalier owner, and i took the dimensions he gave me and shrunk them down a lil bit to be safe. Havent done a test fit, but later today im gonna put everything in and see how it goes. Lets hope the RE amp takes the .5 ohm load YIKES. Hopefully i dont have to buy another amp, cuz im broke as hell

Thanks guys. Tonight will be the test fit. Fun fun lol. This is only the 4th box ive made, althought ive helped on some other, but this one is almost all me, with a lil bit of help from a friend. I have home depot cut the wood for me, even after last time i went i didnt bring a tape measure and the guy messed up my cuts by like 1/2'' here and there and completly screwed me up. But this time i went, the guy that cut the wood for my other boxes was there and he was good, only cuts he was off on were the top and bottom, and at MOST it was 1/8th of an inch, which just got sanded down

Well the cuts took about 10 min at home depot, then went back to where i worked on it, spent about 1 1/2 hours on it, then had to go to work, came home from work and probally put another 45 min or so in finishing it all up. Deffiently helps to have someone help ya, atleast someone that has 1/2 an idea what they are doing
