new box help

I just got myself a RE xxx 12" and am planing on building a box for it. I will be running it with a Hifonics bx1605d (1600 rms at 1ohm) I was leaning towards ported so i can get some real good lows. Now how big should i make the box and what should i tune it to? I have about 4ft^3 to work this and want this sub to hit like a champ. any help would be great.

EDIT: 32 or lower, depends on if you want loud and good lows or just good lows... anywhere from 28-32 is good for lows i believe :/

if you have 4 ft to work with, your box volume will likely be in the maximum 2.5+ range after displacements. i believe RE recommends 2-2.5 feet @ 27 Hz, anyways.

i think REs recommendation of 2-2.5 cubes @ 27 Hz. is a good one. they do know their subs best.
