yea thats for sure. the box i took out has the two aeros pointing back and sub forwards. i will try pointing the backwards later on. and then will put the other box back in

the whole point of building this was to see if it makes a differnce porting through the rear deck. i cant see it helping for daily driving. but for spl drag possibly....but i doubt it:crying: lol

yea it probably is. hence my saing it may work okay in an spl application

anyhow.......thanks ssj2xxgotenxx for the compliment. i would carpet it, but it doesnt sound any better then the other box, so im just going to take it out, and use it next spring, will probably get it metered. or i may fidle around with it this weekend, who knows

To find the tuning, play various tones through it and pay attention to the cone. Look for the tones that make the cone movement almost stop completly. This should be very close to what it is tuned to.

If you wanted something like this to work, make sure the trunk area is completely sealed off from the cabin. Then, make it a bandpass enclosure so that there is no output except from the ports. Like I said before, the cone still contributes a good amount of output and you have it separated from the rest of the vehicle while the ports fire in.

hmm, i will give a shot at finding the tuning tomamrow

as for the bandpass enclosure, that sounds like avery good idea. i didnt even consider the output coming from the cone of the speaker:blush: . thanks for the input

Probaly, I dont have the high tech pvc porting technique like you do.
