new box build help for a newbie @ 28hz

so far so good. I hope this box is a propper dropper and plays deep and loud :raz::raz::raz:

I finally got round to testing the box out in the car and this is my opinion. It plays the lows extremely well, goes deep and drops deep no doubt but I'm missing the high notes. It seems to play all low notes very well but higher notes are lacking, Its seems like a one note box but I have to call it a proper dropper which is not a bad thing. Maybe I should have tuned to 30hz like some of you said but being my 1st build, I could have done that but wanted to experiment on a low tuned box.

Im using the pioneer premier woofers but want to ask anyone what subs could I replace these with that would be better even more on the lows and what subs are more suited for LOW tuned boxes. I bought these new but not a problem as I have another car I can use them in. I want to keep the box I just built but wana put some better low tuned subs in ???

going from 28 to 30hz, I doubt you will be able to hear the difference. I'd go 34-35hz. You act like if you tune that high, you're not going to have any lows at all...

I just thought that the higher the tuning, the less the lower notes would drop compared to tuning it low if that makes sence:rolleyes:

I probably should have gone 32hz minimum but Ima just leave it now as it was a headache getting the box in, in the 1st place but it does wobble the s*** outa you tho:crazy:

For a first box it looks pretty **** good to me. I would be proud to show off a box like that as my first.

What are you using to power the subs?

There are many better subs that you could use to get more sound out of that box but to get more sound it costs more money. More power and more potential from better subs should increase your volume level substantially.

Yes, thank you. Im a bit of a perfectionist and try and do things until Im 100% satisfied. Do it properly 1st time is what I try to do at all times in anything.

For the subs, Im using a crunch gp3000d and it pounds. I think The amp is great but I also know that better subs would slam BETTER than these, any opinions on subs to get. Im running them at 1ohm from the amp if that helps
