new box build help for a newbie @ 28hz

I will be going for pioneers then, The reason why I have built the box to 4cft (just under) is so that I can upgrade the subs in the future that will work well in this enclosure. What to do now ? Is the box going to be ok for these ?

I have found out that pioneer premier woofers total displacement is 0.36 for a pair. The box is 3.942f before displacement and when they go in, it will be 3.582cf after. I have the box tuned at 29hz before displacement so what will it be tuned to after, I dont know how to work that part out ??

are you sure not that im doubting you, so this would be a good tuning frequency to go with then ? out of interest, how did you work that out ?

The total port length is 37.5in and the port area is 54 if that helps. I want the wobble effect from this box so anymore advise please, I have nough wood here to increase the length of the port if I have to

Heres some pics, sorry to keep bumping this to the top but its the 1st time for me building a box and I just want as much advise as possible especially on the low tuning aspect hence my previous question

Im building as we speak

Or realize once the box is in the car, the tuning will lower.

And OP:

28 is too low for type R's, and I'm not sure about premiums.
I have just bought 2 pioneer premiers dual 2ohms and have a .5ohm amp to push them.

So to sum this up, yes, Im a newbie, and appreciate all the help from you guys so any criticism is appreciated. Here is how my box is now.

It is 3.815cf and after sub displacement is 3.455cf. The tuning before displacement according to re is 28.3hz, I have no idea what it will be when the subs are in the box so excuse me for that as Im just learning.

I have used the port that is 17in x 13.5in x 17in x 13.5in giving me a total port length of 41.5 tuned to 28.3hz The port in the box looks quite long.

Total port area is 54sq in. My port width is 4in wide.

I have no idea how this will sound and I have built it now now so I will have to take a punt and hope it plays nice and deep which I think it will and hope it does not sound like crap. any more opinions would be greatly appreciated

I have not put the box in the car yet, I need to carpet it and add some of those wire terminal connectors. Apart from that, the box is nice and solid and Im very curious as to how it will play based on my dimensions, port etc etc but thanx for asking //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

type r's dont like playing that low so make sure you don't give them more than their rms cause they won't like it. I had 2 12" on a zx1500.1 and 4 12" on a zx2500.1 and if I played a song lil put on by jeezy the subs wouldn't take it for very long before I could start to smell them.
