New box build for Type X 12"

yeah i know. i am kinda stuck tho as i need a amp for them. I only have a sundown 50.4 and a 1500d. am stuck with either too little power or too much lol

a day and a half later and my upgrading is complete for this year. the trim panel was a bit too deep but 2 layers of rubber weather stripping and it is a perfect match. this thing pounds like hell and now i have to figure out how to make my rear view mirror stiffer. thanks again bones. i still have to build the amp rack so for now i just have them mounted on some scraps of mdf with velcro on the bottom to stop the amps from moving around.

measuring on the outside with a tape i got a depth of 1 1/8". no worries though, it only cost me $8 for the weather striping and i needed to buy the t-nuts anyways.

i'll see what i can do. maybe if things are slow around the office later today i could make a quick video, but that depends on how many people are around. i don't really have anywhere that i can go and not bother people. i am not one to piss people off by pushing a system to the limits where others are near.

i can tell you that it moves a ton of air inside the cabin with the rear seat up. i can feel it moving in every opening, like around the hu trim ring and such. just a few notes and my rear mirror is staring at the ground. the trunk does have some flex but i have never really seen it going full blast.

sexy box. i'm in for vids too. i need some comparison //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

and BTW, once my mirror fell down and took a chunk of glass. i stuck it back up a few times, but one good low note or sweep and it hits the dash. i've gone w/o a rearview for a good while now because it WILL NOT stay up there.

well, good news and bad news. the good news is i found a pretty deserted area to make a few vids. the bad news is that i left my memory card at the office so i was limited to what the camera could keep in it's internal memory. this also meant i had to cut the video size down from 640x480 to 320x240. the vids (for now) are short and to the point. tomorrow i can take some longer/bigger ones. i am guessing that the sub is getting somewhere around 900, possibly a little more. my gains are set very conservatively and i did not get a birthsheet with the amp.

lil john - what u gon' do was the song playing and it was playing via my iphone and the kensington liquidaux (this thing kicks major ***) charger/line out adapter. the volume is lessened by this adapter as it uses a line out audio signal with no volume controls instead of the headphone jack. the same file played directly from a usb stick is much louder. all i had today with me was the iphone.

here is the rear view mirror. i bet inside it is secretly swearing at me

here is a shot of the trunk lid. this is with 3 layers of dynamat xtreme and the trunk latch being slightly modified and moved down to provide a tighter connection.

here is the sub in action

very nice. i need to do some similar vids. the whole *** end of my car goes fckin NUTS on low notes.

shit's wanging on 900wrms //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif i give mine 1.5k //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
