New Battery

If I go and buy a new 12 volt battery and run my amp to the hot wire and ground the other will it be worth it? I had a place replace parts of my electrical system and I know that my system should easily take my setup which is a viper d1200.1 at 1 ohm and a dvc 2 15" L7. I have a battery charger to recharge the battery when it eventually dies. I dont really want to try it back to my truck battery because I cant afford to fix it again. So as I said would it be worth around 60 bucks to do as I said above?

Not a good idea unless it's wired in parallel to an isolator or the primary battery.

yeah back up batteries are only worth it, if you have it wired back the the trucks battery with an isolator that way the alt will charge both batteries
