u should match the amps of the isolator to how many amps ur system is pulling. THere is a equation to find out how many amps, but i dont know what it is.

The isolator will be good with ur stock batt and alt

And unless you plan on playing your system for 30+ minutes on a regular basis with your car off, you don't need an isolator.

will i have more of a problem with 2 batts, then one if i listen to my music with the car off for like 20 mins, without a isolater? two diffrent opinions........ can i get a third? haha

2 batteries wired in parallel = adding up both batteries capacity and current

so in this reguard 2 batteries will last longer than 1.

sorry to bring this thread back up. but do you guys think i might see more of a diffrence if i bought a Kinetik HC1400 and replaced my starter batt with it. than adding a batt in the back with the stock batt. and if its still dimming i could always run another Kinetik HC600 in the back right : ) what do you guys think?

ok so im only 18, and just got some new tires for my 2006 civic ( 80amp alt) and i dont have enough money for both the high output alt and a new deep cycle bat. stupid tires!! Which will help my voltage drop issues the most? i did the big 3 with 0 guage...... and am still getting mad voltage drops ( sub actually skips bass lines and cuts in and out, and its not getting a clipped signal ) My amps are the kicker kx1200.1(1200 rms) and a little orion amp for my comps (60x2 rms ). i could either get a new high output alt, not sure what company to choose from : (. or get a new deep cycle battery and ditch the stock one and run the stock alt. or keep the stock bat upfront with the stock alt, and run a deep cycle in the back. Avoid the inevitable, I would get the second battery first and then take it from their. I have 2 batteries, big 3@0gage going at 3000wrms, stocked 110 alt. My lights don't even dim and my voltage doesn't drop under 12.5

did anybody replace their stock batt with a Kinetik HC1400? and it helped their voltage drops alot?

Any deep cycle battery will show good impovement over a stock battery. I upgraded to that battery and noticed a difference. Voltage wouldn't drop as badly and it can last much longer. Also less strain on your alt to recharge it.
