New Audioque Subwoofer (HDC3) PICS

factor in box/imp rise, you have to check the constant voltage, input voltage from your head unit, tons of things you need to know...easy way is to clamp and dmm it to figure out what your actually getting, FYI I owned 4 of them and used them ALOT! I will tell you this much, I didnt see 3k out of mine at all....thats funny skip you just proved your age you worthless shit bag..great post your just 1 more person that gave no addition to this thread great job..
im sure they'll do more power then my SS xxx6500D on 12v @ .7ohm...split between 2 15" btls......

not sure what my voltage was exactly, but i know on full tilt and idle none of my lights dimmed one bit.

just sold the xxx6500....for almost same price as i can get (2) powerbass 3k's.....and now im thinking if i should sell the BTL's for the HDC3's.....i'd have to recone BTL's to run them, b/c they are dual .7

Those soundstreams dont do much a nothing unless on 16v....i think theres some tests on Termpro if ya search and its nothing impressive....i think the 10k one does maybe 6000 or something if i remember correctly

yea, i talked to someone and they said they tested it at 2700rms @ 12V.

hopefully i'll get around that with the powerbass, and put it per sub, instead of split.

well another thing to keep in mind as I said prior to your imp rise is going to go up, once the coils get hotter and hotter its going to change your imp rise..that in turn is going to obviously raise your ohm load the amps see, which means less power.

its for daily beating, i dont really care about squeezing out that extra dB

im sure the upgrade from ~3krms to ~6krms will be a big difference to the ear, especially in my trunk car //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

just want to make sure that the HDC3s can handle that for say, 10mins HARD beating and not blow or STINK on me.

A sub getting stinky doesnt automatically mean its being over powered, I ran a single hd3 12 on an american bass vfl400 problem free. A sub getting stinky normally comes from clipping in all honesty problem the number 1 cause of a blown sub.

yea true. and i know running sub 1ohm makes it easier to clip.

i know he had problems cuz he turned up his bass boost on the amp, but i fixed that for him, says its a lot better but i think his SSF is outta wack.

well see you just proved 99% that his problem from his sub getting stinky was he was clipping the signal (having the bass boost turned up) in all honesty most people DONT use bass boost, because most dont even know how to use it, or what its purpose is, stick to the basics.

yea, after that video of bass boost clipping the hell out of that sub, i never use it, make sure its all the way down.

think i might have 2 15" BTLs for sale very soon //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So what do you guys think is going to be the better bet as far as for a daily driver? The Cu coil, or the Al?

The Cu coil will take less power for it to get loud, but will also heat up more, which will cause impedance rise, and the sub to see less power sooner, which is bad for long periods of street beating.

On the other hand, the Al, on daily amounts (1-2k rms) will not get as loud as the Cu version right off the bat, but will not heat up as much as the Cu coil will, which will cause less impedance rise over time (good for street beating.)

So what do you guys think would be the best for the guys that will be running 1-2k rms for a loud daily street beater?

I would think the Cu coil will be best, because even with the difference in impedance rise between teh two materials for a daily driver on 1-2k rms, I would think the Cu coil would still remain louder.
