Sure we are. We won't tell you who builds them but the country of origin will be on the box. They are designed in Korea with our modifications and will be built in Korea or China. Most of the Korean builders/designers now have moved actual production to China. The good ones send the parts to China for assembly. The not so good one use all Chinese parts.

Hahaha we outsource to Korea, they outsource to China.

ever thought of doing an all out SPL sub?

We are not really in the SPL business. We like to build good products for daily drivers at reasonable prices. Some people use them for that purpose.

Most SPL guys don't care what the sub sounds like but we do. We will offer the HDC3 in a "Build-it-yourself-kit" for those who want to custom build it.

That is what I am interested in...

Maybe I should do one ten...

Well Dj I think a 2000 would be a good choice, do a 1000 and 2000 along with a 4 channel and call it good.

I get that question all the time and the simple answer is it depends on the skill of the enduser. No two applications are exactly the same. There are just too many varriables. The only real way I know of to compare burp ratings between subs is set them on the floor and burp free air with the same amps.

I am not about to claim some huge burp rating when I know some people can destroy a woofer with out trying on low power and others can burp with a butt load of power on the same woofer without problems. I have seen upwards of 20000 watt burps on subs with no problems and also have seen the same woofers destroyed on 3000 watts.

There is only so much you can do with a 3" coil and a suspension/cooling system. We use the best parts we can buy the rest is up to the enduser.
