We already make a great 8" in the SD2 series. We will continue to build the SD2's and SD2.5's in house.

I heard that too. I also heard that they were selling it at near cost to get rid of some smaller internet companys. Don't know how much truth there is so take it with a grain of salt.

That would be easier to believe if AQ were a huge company and price dumping to get rid of the competition...

In reallity they are a small Internet company with already low margins...

Factor in the cost of doing business (rent, labor costs, employee taxes, shipping costs + other variable costs, etc...)

Just look at their prices and you can see the margins are low...

AQ trying to price others out of the competition would only end up hurting themselves.

We are not trying to put anyone out of business; our margin will remain the same as it has been in the past. The production costs have gone down and our pricing reflects the reduction in production costs. We don't offer competitor pricing or group buys. Nothing in life is free. We sell at the lowest possible price to everyone everyday. I believe if one can offer large discounts the price is to high to begin with. I price our products with a reasonable margin relative to production and that's where they stay until production costs go up or down whichever the case may be.

I did consider an intro sale but decided to stick with our established sales practice as outlined above.

Amps will be coming on line soon after the HDC3. We are testing amps now. I need some feedback on power ranges to offer.

I will not offer amps in the 3500 plus power range. The market is flooded in that area and to be honest that's where the most abuse happens. I am considering a VERY good 1000-D that does an honest 1400 watts before clipping, and a 1700 watt class-d along with a very good 4X100. We are also testing a very good 800 watt class d that benches around 1200. All of the class d's are stackable. These are all honest ratings and very well built amps.

As friendly as we can make them without going to the drop in no shim type. I don't want to widen the gap.

Since you're being upfront and honest about chinese parts in your subs, are you going to be upfront about whom the amp buildhouse is?

Since you're being upfront and honest about chinese parts in your subs, are you going to be upfront about whom the amp buildhouse is?

Sure we are. We won't tell you who builds them but the country of origin will be on the box. They are designed in Korea with our modifications and will be built in Korea or China. Most of the Korean builders/designers now have moved actual production to China. The good ones send the parts to China for assembly. The not so good one use all Chinese parts.

We are not really in the SPL business. We like to build good products for daily drivers at reasonable prices. Some people use them for that purpose.

Most SPL guys don't care what the sub sounds like but we do. We will offer the HDC3 in a "Build-it-yourself-kit" for those who want to custom build it.
