New Audiobahn Immortal series subs?

even if it is a copy of a $950 subwoofer is it a bad thing that audiobahn is offering one for around $200? i really want to mess around with one, i think immortals will beat down

i personally dont understand all the beef people have with audiobahn stuff because i have had nothing but good experinces with them. you can find good deals on ebay for low prices on audiobahn.

had a friend one time buy 3 12" 'natrual sound' woofers (audiobahns cheapest model) for $100 on ebay brand new in box. hooked em up and ****, sounded decent on his audiobahn 1300hcx.

i dont think i quoted that right but i agree. i dont see why so many people dislike audiobahn. ive had a 1508t since they were first released this year as the 2003 model and that was actually back in 2002 and ive been running it at 1ohm off the 2300hct amp so thats 2400w rms to a 2000w sub. its been taking it for over a year. its sittin in a ported 4 cube box and it hits low as **** and hard as **** too. i got it for $200 and i am completely satisfied, and also i get nothing but compliments from all my passangers, even my friend troy who has 2 10" W7s. also, since then ive added another one of the same 15 and its too much to sit in, but im still fine tuning for dB drags this spring. wish me luck!

now just to clarify for all you people looking for an argument or whatever, im not saying audiobahn is the best or that my system is louder than any of yours or anything like that so dont take this the wrong way. all im saying is that i am completely satisfied with what i bought and perhaps my standards are just lower..?

Ok a 9500 cost no where even close to that price.

and the beef that most people have is the complete lack of respect that Audiobahns has for the music industry...in the form of distortion. (and downloading music and trading it...********) ...hmm...also the majority of thoes ****sticks driving around blasting their music have either audiobahns or RF HE's.

Yea sure im a basshead but i dont wanna buy somehting ive never heard of, i hear people talking about XXX's and DD's and stuff but who knows how well they will hold up. I had 2 MTX 15's and they bumped, i just need more and cant affort the thunder 9500's. But since you guys say its not 100% audiobahn, that may be good, maybe now it will sound good too?
umm... ur kidding me right...what do u mean how well they hold up, u are talking about audiobahns and questioning real subs, im sure if they are like the dd9500's they are good but they are audiobahn and audiobahn is not good!

Well if you havnt heard them you cant say that, im sure audiobahn knows they blow in SQ so thats why they copied another sub. So this sub could possibly sound good as well as play loud. and you contradicted yourself, "im sure if they are like the dd9500's they are good but they are audiobahn and audiobahn is not good" how does that make sence? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/moon.gif.9d317aec3339ffe7fde0638df52c628a.gif

If they know they blow in SQ ... then why would they "copy" a 9500 series ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif Sure as hell isn't going to get them to sound any better,

Have you heard a 9500 series driver ? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/uhoh.gif.c07307dd22ee7e63e22fc8e9c614d1fd.gif

No I havnt heard a 9500, but from what a lot of people say they have more going for them in the SQ area :thumbsup then Audiobahn does, so maybe thats the reason :thumbsup either way the immortals look alot different physically from all their other stuff we'll see. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/peace.gif.2db28b618ed8d1964ebbe2f5021d2c39.gif

To settle the DD issue, over at carsound.com this issue arose and it was determined that the immortal is BUILT AT DD"S BUILDHOUSE and is a copy of the 93 series. It uses a HUGE top plate and a overhung design(I think..) so nothing short of some dual crown's will blow this bad boy. Audiobahn said they "designed" the sub after I had a talk with them, but said that they didnt even build them.

If I find the thread where it shows they are made at DD's buildhouse I will post it. But my belief goes toward the immortal is a copy of the 93 series.

I've probably used all by 1-2 of the Audiobahn series over the years. (For customers...not myself) and Comparing them straight to my DD I would say the DD has better SQ than Most of the Audiobahn lines. Regardless my DD gets louder.

I actually think the DD has alright SQ as long as I don't crank the remote gain up. After awhile it gets too loud to even understand SQ.
