Purchased a UsAmpsMD2D from IonSQL today to replace my trusty Alpine MRD-M605. While I was at it, I threw in a new brand spankin new '06 L7 that I had laying around. The amp and new sub make a significant difference! haven't had a chance to fully enjoy it but maybe this evening I will get out there and wang a little.

Out in with the old..

If I remember correctly, I got 132 with the old setup on a AC, sealed at the dash.I wonder how much more it would be now ...if any.
EEK! I would think you would have done better than that on the old setup and god forbid it better be higher than that with this sub.

X2 for porting that bish!

Clean install though, which should be after looking at your HT system. Have fun with it.

LOL, yes I know, it wasn't all that on the deebeez. It is much louder now. Rattles have surfaced that I have never heard before. I am just afraid that once it is ported the bass control will be much harder. In the current sealed application I have more control of things. Still pounds at higher volumes.

w00t! Looks good man, can't wait to meet up again and hear it //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I had a chance to listen to the setup this morning and I truly am impressed with this amp. Gains are set around 1.0v and after about 30 minutes of wang time this thing doesn't even get warm! I figure the sub is getting just a tad over 1k watts and it sounds really good. Very quick and responsive and gets pretty dang looow! My HU displays the voltage of the entire system and it never dipped below 13.5 volts at full volume. I opted not to hook up the gain control as there is no need for it.

If I knew then what I know now, I would have gone with USAmps from the get go.
