well I agree with everything except the isolator part. I have a stock battery and a fairly new yellow top with no isolator...never had em drained. yes i've heard people say either way but i've definitly seen a couple battery systems die that way too, so you are taking a risk,

in your case your yellow top might probably only be discharging to the point so that its equal with the stock batt....

might be interesting to test and compare them after sitting for awhile...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

if it is doing that, then you've wasted your money on the expensive yellowtop and you might as well have bought a battery identical to your stock one

it's not recommended to even run different age batteries in you remote control...

yes it works fer a while but battery life decreases and leaking becomes a concern

car has been sitting since friday afternoon, both batteries just tested at over 12.5 volts.

i had a stock alt and a yellowtop and i ran 2 bxi2006ds and my voltage enever got down as far as yours.

but i'd keep the same brand of battery's....on the other hand i personally bought a hc2400 from xplorer22's and the transaction went without any problems so that is a choice

i can charge a kinetik to 12.9 and come back to it 3 years later and it would read higher than 12.5 lol
