New 2005 Type-R vs JL audio 12w3v2

currently i am running 2- 12w3v2 in a ported subzone box off of an audiobahn 8002t. it puts 400rms to each sub at 2 ohms. i want to upgrade and i really like the new type-r's but is it a huge difference if spl, sq to switch from the jl's to the alpine's running off the same amp?

I would not think so, those speakers are relatively on the same tier so to speak. There would be differences but nothing to write home about.
