if dan meets specs

they would better compare to the highest end component set on the market today

something like the Utopia or something

if Seas made a component set with the Excel ($175) and millenium tweeter ($160)... these would best it if specs are met

I sent ya a PM -- this looks very interesting... I was getting the ball rolling on a higher efficiency ~94dB/w/m DVC 4 ohm mid – from the same build house as the dayton RS... goal to try to tack on another mm or 2 of xmax but that wasn't the priority... Completely different goal -- I was only needing good response up to 2.2khz as I'd be going 4th order at about 1.8k... These drivers look very very interesting and if they meet spec I may abandon my project in favor of a small faceplate tweeter that can stack up with the best out there... Some more serious tooling costs there but I think there is a need...

hell if you want to purchase either a large quantity of these or etc I think we can certainly come up with it

all this is coming out of personal funds right now... so if that cost could be subdued I think we can do a couple lines of drivers if you want to partner on some...

I have a couple ideas in my head...

namely these speakers are basically the Seas Excel on steriods

I was thinking that a cool addition would be a screw on ribbon tweeter in place of the phase plug

John at AE designed this speaker with me, and it turned out to be exactly what Dan and David had designed (it was purely by accident but the specs were nearly identical)... he was going to get Dayton's buildhouse to do it also... however it ended up being around the same price so I went with adire because they honestly have some of the best coils and build control of anybody

whats youre opinion on the the projected difference in sound between the 12 db/octave jl tweet set and the 18 db adire set? i havent heard either of the tweeters, can you give me a little discription of the difference in sound?

sorry if this querstion seeems kinda weird with components i dotn knwo what im talking about..
