well i am already using about the thickest spacer that i can with my kappa mids, and they arent that deep.

but if these things are worth it i might just seek out a set of door panels to try my hand at some fg.

you must have some kind of pictures. unless you dont have a clue what they will look like, and that is hard to believe.

we'll know when you know as the prototype arrives

I KNOW what it will generally look like... I do not have pictures of it... even drawings because Dan hasn't sent me anything like that

do you plan to keep this project going for a few months at least? cause im flat broke right now, but once i get another job and get my funds back up im gonna spend for soem good components.. and by the way things sound these will be the ones to spend on. just dont quit making these babies before i can afford them haha
also.. kinda confused on pricing.. you can buy the 6 1/2 seperately for around 60 bucks or somethin.. but earlier you threw out a number around 1000... was that for the 2 way drivers with the higher end tweets.. or... didnt you day at the beginning there would be 3 ways available? if so how much and what midbass driver would you use (assuming custom but is is based of another high end driver)?

this preorder will last after we order... for around a few weeks after that... so 1 mth straight preorder and 1 mth or so after they're being built they will still be up for this pricing... once they arrive they will go up to everyone not in the preorder

yes the 6.5" is seperate... no tweeter no crossovers... $60 each

3-ways aren't needed really... you can always add an 8" to the low end... we can do anything you want in this respect with the 6.5" as the midrange... something we will probably offer but likely not sell a lot of as 8" drivers with this efficency aren't cheap

the nice seas lotus component set with modified 6.5" for slightly lower inductance and better power handling, foil caps and film inductors in the xover, 24db/octave xovers and all that

this component set is $600 for the preorder... but will be $1000 retail in our dealers

the basic component set, which tweeter is still up for grabs and N dang is testing for us, is $200 a set with crossovers

it's fine... http://www.ologyaudio.com will supply all the information for that whenever the prototype arrives and is through testing

welp dan just updated me...

we've been busy working on other things he's building for me and Dylan (secret things //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif )

all the parts for the build are in... everything's machined from my understanding, however, he's working on trying different voice coils to optimize the design (different gauges etc.)

at least in the future with a lot of the other products we'll be doing production in house greatly reducing this kind of lead time...
