never had this happen before

you have a cavalier correct?

I have never had that issue with my car ever. then again i do have a pair of optima's in my car(no big 3). however, it just sounds like you have a wire that grounded out on your headunit causing everything to shut off

yep have the same as u. just didnt do big 3, cuz remember, its a *****. and only running a duralast gold battery. if thats the case, options??

the big three not going to help if your voltage was cutting out the radio the radio is seperate from the wire you got going to your amp its the harness on the back of your radio

save your money on the cap and do the big 3 first, as you should have already done this if your have voltage drops that you knew about. then yank out the hu and check grounds, and possibly the fuse on the back of your hu if you have one

Most of the time the headunit will turn off because of voltage drop. What I'd do is hook up a 1 Farad Capacitor to the headunit power wire and put in a 1 way diode to the line. That should solve the problem.

no not to trust people who recommend caps to help with dimming, especially an installer sounds like somebody is trying to make some more money //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/greedy.gif.5a53e6246569d7ab79867170f3b06629.gif
