For class i am to design a fully switched network and provide the necessary costs involved. I am very confused on all of the stuff that i need and its basically due tomorrow.
Basically, all i need to know is what i necessary to make it run, meaning i need to detwrmine the best type of netowrk that would best suit me, what type of topology to use, and the software and hardware required. I need to make a full cost sheet of everything i buy, meaning software, network OS's, client OS's, anti-virus softwares, a sufficient number and tpe of servers with server racks, the cables, connectors, switches, and routers with a CSU/DSU.
I have 81 computers, but it needs to be set up to allow for a 10% growth in the number of employees (90)
I need to have a Point Of Sales system for 10 registers as well (on sales floor).
Is there anyone that can help me with this? Basically i just need to know what servers/routers etc. to be used, and the software to go with them. I dont know anything about the POS system either. ANY help is greatly appreciated, i am working on this project right now and its getting harder by the second as i cant even begin to get anywhere.
