We have similiar laws here. Outside of competing, people in neighborhoods don't need to hear your 150+DB worth of low frequency. If you don't understand this, then you are just the type of childish douchebomb that makes car audio look bad and laws like this to be passed.

noone here is doing 150dBs daily though!!! most are like 130dB's, and the laws still exist, simply because they are doing all they possibly can, to get as much money from the young people as they possibly can....

the "hoon" laws, also include burnouts, drag racing, etc... but I do believe the loud music cops the biggest fine!!! and its something thats completely upto the cop who hears the music...

I only have a neighbor across the street and we are both equally as bad about using powertools until well past dark.

hey, my d!ckhead neighbours just complained again...

I kid you not, since i started this thread, I hadn't played ANY loud music..

now, today, at about 5pm, I played a sinesweep for about 30 seconds in my car... about an hour later, my mate came over, and I played the same sweep again, 20 seconds into it, and the d!ckhead neighbours is yelling at me!!! he doesn't actually ASK me to turn it down, he just yells!!! and I'm pretty sure this time he actually threatened me...

oh well, next weekend, parents are away, so I shall be playing my music as loud as it goes for the whole weekend...

There used to be a ricer that lived at the end of my street. He thought his high pitched muffler was so bad *** he would go up and down the street reving and gassing the car. After about a week of this me and my neighbor cut his shit with a jig saw at 3 in the morning. You deserve the same.

it wasn't late at night, it wasn't early in the morning, it wasn't on going bass, it was under a minute...

I should buy a motor bike with a loud exhaust, let it warm up every morning, then gun it down the road, past his house when I leave for work at 7am... that'd shut him up.

i've gotten numerous tickets at my own house. i don't care how deadened your car is if your neighbors are complaining. deadening can't talk the cops out of noise ordinance tickets.

at first i would be polite. then i would be a little curt. i would actually threaten you once. after that, i would just spray a quart or so of muriatic acid through your front grill up on your radiator. then you'd get really mad.
