Need wiring clarification (help)!

I have 3 questions below, and I need some pointers on my wiring. Any help or recommendations appreciated. Thanks in advance!

1st: I'm using 2 David Navone LOCs

Here's my wiring set-up (I think):

HU _____X--------------- LOC (mounted on amp rack in hatch) === AMP --- Component Xover (also mounted on amp rack in hatch) ------------------ Into door and connect to mids/highs

Key:

X = splice into front factory wires

=== = RCA patch cables

------ = New 16G speaker wire (exception: X to LOC will be 18 guage wire)

____ = factory wiring

What do you think?

2nd:

I want to maximize the power to my comps and I'm totally confused with the wiring involved. Are you actually powering the xovers? Should I wire the xovers in parallel and run regular wiring to comps (wire as they are meant to be), or do you wire the mid and high as if they were two subs, and if so, how do you connect them to the xover?

How do I run my comps in parallel and use the xovers provided with the comps, that's the question?

HELP, I would like to run my wire today.

3rd:

Should my remote wire run with my 4 guage power wire or on the opposite side of the car with the LOC and speaker wire? Should I seperate the Speaker wire and LOC wire?

1. That looks fine.

2. Yes, the power is going into the x-over and then distributed to each mid and tweet. Do not parallel the x-overs. One for each channel.

3. All together is fine.

If you have induced noise in the system, it will most likely be the location of the x-over.

I appreciate the input.

The problem is my amp has the following specs:

Into 4 ohms @ 12.0 VDC -- 24 watts x 2

Into 4 ohms @ 14.4 VDC -- 35 watts x 2

Into 2 ohms @ 14.4 VDC -- 60 watts x 2

Into 1 ohm @ 14.4 VDC -- 93 watts x 2

Into 1/2 ohm@ 14.4 VDC -- 150 watts x 2

Bridged 4 ohms -- 125 watts x 1

Bridged 2 ohms -- 185

Bridged 1 ohm -- 300 x 1

If I just connect 4 ohm comps to this set-up, I'm only getting 35 watts to each x-over. That sucks! I need to run my comps in parallel in order to drop to 2 ohms and get at least 60 watts. Theorectically, I snould purchase some 2 ohm comps and wire them in parallel so i could at least have 93.

So, my question still remains. How do I run 4 ohm comps in parallel? I need to drop the impedance to get more out of my amp.

No funds for that. I had this same set up in my previous car and it did a hell of a job. I did not run the wiring for the last set-up though. It was "professionally" installed.

Would rather just run my comps in parallel if possible. I'm not looking for a show stopping system. I just want more and better sound. I'm going to run one 12" and a pair of comps... that's it.

More and better sound isnt going to happen if you wire like that, parallel will mean you can only listen to mono music, not stereo.

This news keeps getting worse. What do you think was done on the last install that worked so well?

I was running:
