need urgent advice with my external hard drive mp3 player

hi

i own an iriver H340, which is not a flash drive mp3 player, but rather has a 40GB hard drive inside. while formatting the drive, i deleted all the files on it by mistake. darn!!!!!!!!! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crying.gif.ec0ebefe590df0251476573bc49e46d8.gif

is there anyway to get the files back? i came across a program called "GetDataBack" program. but never tried it before or even had this problem before.

need advice fast! what do i do? thanks

if like most mp3 players it just shows up as a HD in my computer, you may be able to use Recover My Files. i've always had luck with that app

yes, my player comes up on th ecomputer as a hrad drive.

the program i found was a free download. not sure if it the same as the one you mean.

yep. i was able to recover a lot of information back. as for it being free, in the right places, yes.
