need to upgrade; 15 or 12?

Im going to upgrading again; I have a integra hatchback and dont really need a trunk, so I have a fair amount of room to build a box. Im going to be buying a Hifonics BXI 2010D that does 2K RMS @ 1 ohm.

Im lost on whether I should go with a 15" or a 12". Im looking at the hifonics Olympus series 1615 or 1612.

I like to listen to metal/rock but I also like it to get really loud.

Which size should i be looking at?

Why a hifonics sub??

Off 2k, get something like a xcon/fully loaded BL/etcetc.

Personally, I prefer a 12" for rock/metal (which I also listen to alot). I've used multiple 15's and multiple 12's and always found that the 12's can be a tad bit tighter on doublebass/kick's. However, much if it is install dependent and i'm sure you could get a 15" to sound very good.

However, with 2k watts you can't be too concerned with sq and just want to get loud....so i'd go with a 15 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif. 15" HDC3 would bump.

HDC3 w/ copper coils with that power. They get good and loud tuned around 38-40 and sound great for rock also.

Size depends on how much space you have. 4 cu.ft. for a 15.

if you are sure that you dont mind losing that space, do a 15" it will most likely be louder in the proper enclosure. you do have the space
