blew my subs.... time for a new setup

alright so i had 2 rockford fosgate 12" p3 slims. they were awesome subs. im surprised i didnt blow them earlier because i play them all the time hard. ive had them for about a year and a half. but i was on a trip to the mountains and it was about an hour and a half drive and it was cookin in my truck because i had the windows open and i knew i thought i smelt somethin funny. i thought it was outside. haha nope just roasted voice coils. then my subs started popping and you could probably guess what happened next:verymad:

but anyways i have two questions.

1st one being is what is the difference between the new model RF p3 shallows and the old ones or i guess the current ones.

2nd are there any other recomended shallow subwoofers that would run in a cubic foot or less of space sealed? im gonna run three 12's in a 3 ft^3 sealed box. the 2 12's were pretty **** loud for shallows. but i always want louder.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

the 12 or 13.5 JL TW5 is currently the baddest shallow i've heard personally compared to the pioneer and rockford ones...i've read good things about the memphis and diamond audio ones too
