yep
Well, i havent decided what to get yet. I am almost positive that whatever I get will be powered by a Hifonics bxi1606d, which claims 1600@1ohm, but whatever it puts out is fine. Im going to make my own box, most likely ported, tuned to ~low 30's. Ive been looking at the type-r's and the Cerwin Vega v-max's. I could go with two 12" R's or v-maxes, and i could also go with two 15" v-max's. Im mainly looking for SQL, but i want it to be able to get pretty loud when i want. It will be in the trunk of a 91 deville, so space is avaliable. I listen to rock/metal if that helps. Thanks

Edit- Both the new models of the subs. For the V-maxs, the white cone with black surround, and the rms is 600.

What about two of these, then, if price is really an issue for you? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif $180 + shipping for a pair of good BNIB 12s ain't bad, IMO.

Maybe a Diamond M6mkII if you can find some new old stock or a D6 as options, too. Even with just one you might be surprised //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Yes, I will suggest the same thing I run. I know it works, ya see. Can get loud in the right box on adequate power and sounds bloody good doing it.

Well, i looked around a bit and i can and might get D6's because theyre cheaper than i realized. Theyre $154 each plus shipping on sonic electronix. I think this would be my best choice for SQL, and ill go ported with them. Anyone have any opinions on these? And i was wondering why Diamond reccomends a ported box tuned to 40hz?

I wouldnt have enough power for those. I just picked up my amp today, hifonics 1606d. Im almost positive about the D6's, unless i change my opinion yet again. I want to decide soon so i can start building a box and decide how im going to mount the amp.
