hello all.
I am making my back seat a box actually - and it will still be some what usable as a seat back there for small people I guess. haha
here is a pic of what its basicly going to look like
I also plan to cut in to the rear package tray area to gain a little extra cubic foot for the box - since ive only calculated it at 6.89 cubes so far before sub displacment and port.
so I basicly expect to have either 6 cubes / 6.5 cubes of internal net air space for the sub after the box is all said and built - from fiberglass and 3/4 mdf.
the ports are going to face fowards / and be slot type ports
now I need to figure out how much square inches of port I will need to have dual ports on the box like in the pic - so that I can achieve 34hz tuning.
and since its more or less not an exact # on my internal air space = id rather mess up and tune it at 33 would be better than if I did not make the ports big enough and tuned it too high. id rather murder the lows.
o crap - the sub is a re sx 18 d2 - old style and its going to run off of a saz1500d
any one know of a calculator somewhere that will allow me to enter the "NET" airspace the sub will see and give me a # on how much square inches of port I will need ? and will it also count if I have dual ports ?
