need to buy a new enclosure, help me pick

[ANIMOSITY]

my current box is falling apart on me and I'm looking for a better quality enclosure this time around.

I have little knowledge about enclosures but I've heard that the larger the enclosure, the better the sq and spl gets to an extent.

I have searched forever but it seems there aren't much options out there for square woofers.

I'm loading the box with 2 s12l5 woofers

You will be happier if you save a little money and get a custom built enclosure.

And do you have 10s or 12s? One of those boxes is for 12s and the other is for 10s.

Square kickers like large boxes, and those boxes are kinda small.

He has 12's so the 10" box wouldn't work regardless unless he is cutting the holes. If I was you I would save up and either build your own box or get a professional to build you a box. You'll be much happier believe me.

I'm gonna be putting my square kicker 12s in 8 to 9 cubic feet.

Remember, a square 12 is almost the size of a round 15 so you'll want a larger enclosure to compensate

You'll be choking your subs in that small of a box

Plus the double front baffle only being 1 1/4" which means they probably used 5/8" MDF for the entire enclosure.

For square kickers. A solobaric kicker 12 is larger than your normal 12" sub

4 to 5 cubes is normal size for a regular pair of 12s.

For the square subs you can go from 4.5-8ft4 depending on application.

Typically we do around 2.75-4ft3 for a single 12". Again that drastically depends on application and such.

Worth a look. I don't know who that is, but the work looks decent. Hard to tell with out knowing more info on the designs and such, but well worth an email I would think.
