need system help

The one DD 9515 I had was in a custom built 4.5 tuned to 40 hz box and got pretty loud but didnt have enough power running to it. So I sold to a friend and now I am looking at other options. I want to know if you guys would choose two AQ HDC 12 inch subs or the 1 AQ HDC 15. The two 12s would be in 6 cubes (give or take a little) and the 15 would be in 4.5-5 cubes. Both set-ups will be ran off of 2 AQ 2200ds. Looking for pure loudness. Thanks

if ur going for pure loudness running off the same power im going to assume the 2 12's would be louder than the single 15. im not an expert, i could be wrong.

from my experience i had 2 12's getting roughly 700 rms total that got a little bit louder than my single 12 getting 1100 rms. single 12 is doing really well compared to most multiple woofer systems ive heard, but that 2 12 system was louder.

also the 12's were ported (i think the box was too small and it was tuned too high) and the 12 is sealed. i bet ported my single 12 might be comparable.

yep. most people on here are going to try and tell you 32-35hz. since ur trying to just get as loud as possible i did think tuning high is the thing to do but id say 4400rms would be pretty loud no matter what the tuning haha
