i just got finished with my front stage, and had to make some cuts to my door panel for it to fit over my baffle. well im getting it all tuned in and it sounds real distorted and i couldnt understand it.

well after rattling my brain a little i decided to get a flashlight out and look through my grills to see if there were any hanging wires and such. come to find out, the plastive nipple on the cone of the oem's is butted right up to my stock door panel grills.

anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

i cannot move the speakers at all, and they cannot sit any further away from the panel then they already do, due to the size of the magnet. if i move them further back, my windows wont roll down all the way as the magnet is bigger then my g/f's tits.

i have though about taking a little hole saw and cutting a 2" whole in the stock grills, but am worried how that will look.

have also thought about just cutting out the whole grill but am also worried how that would look.

any other suggestions?

I have the same problem on heavier bass songs. Until I make some pods/kicks I just turned the gains down. I don't think my grills would look good with a small hole in the middle. Not sure about yours though. Apparently the v2 OEMs' magnets are bigger too! I LOLed at the gf comment too.

ii was joking about the tits part, shes actually pregnant so getting bigger FTW.

either way i figured out what i was gonna do, i just cut the grill out.

if you wanna see the final outcome, you can check it out in my build log
