Hey Guys,

I have 2 Memphis M3104D's going in a Newer Ram1500 Quad Cab. Under the rear seat I hasd a custom Fiberglass box built, which is about .63cft. The memphis website says theirs are .50. Never the less, I was planning on pushing them with a Memphis MCD1000. Since they are Dual 4ohm, Whats going to be the best wiring setup? Should I just drop them down in parralel off of 1 set of voice coils to put them at 2ohm, or should Paralel all the coils together to give me 1ohm, shold I Series each one then paralel together?

The all 4 doors will have the Memphis MSQ6.5's in them being pushed by a Memphis MCA300.4 powered by a Clarion VRX925VD.

Thanks in Advance.

Parallel each subs voice coils, than parallel those wires together for a final load of 1 ohm on the amp. That would give u the most power. Or u can play it safe and wire parallel than series for 4 ohms on the amp.

Thanks Phy for the info. I was thinking about going 1 ohm since they will be in a sealed box, and the more power when you run sealed the better, I guess I was just looking for reinforcement that my wiring would be the most effective.

While a sealed box can certainly allow for higher power handling than the same subs in a ported alignment take care that you exceed neither the mechanical or the thermal limits of the subs...

I really didnt have much of a choice, the area in a Dodge Ram1500 only allows so much room, and having a ported box in that area just isnt feasible. But I do understand your comments. The local Memphis dealer is the one that built the box and recommened the M3104D and the MCD1000 amp to push them.
