need suggestions for an amp.....

needing a 1ohm stable mono amp with roughly 300-600max rms output.

i am putting together a budget build for my explorer and i already have the subs (3 pioneer 10'' svc 4ohm subs) that are already wired down to 1.33 ohms in the box.

i am not partial to any brand, but i would prefer to buy new(ish) stuff. unless i can find an old school amp locally (i hate buying used amps online).

i would like to spend NO MORE than $75 but for the right amp i can splurge up to $150.

i would like to see some suggestions on what you guys think. i have spent all morning trying to find something with very little results.

thanks.

i was also thinking maybe getting a 4 chan amp that can do 100-200 rms per channel but only use 3 channels for the subs.

thoughts on this? is is bad to not use 1 channel?

1st of all you prolly wont find a mono block amp that does that power at 1 ohm for 150,you'll prolly have to spend around 200 shipped ,2nd if you use a 4 channel then you would use either 2 channels or all 4 for a sub set up ,if you do that then you could get an amp somewhere between 100 -150

there are mono amps with that output for roughly that price, example would be a used JBL 600.1, also the audiopipe APSM1200 is under $100 brand new.

and as far as what you said about the 4 chan amp, you have me confused because you are not required to bridge the channels to run a sub on any amp that i am aware of. if there are 4 channels, stable at 4ohms, and you have 4 4ohm subs, you can hook up each sub to a single channel. in my question, i am asking if not using the 4th channel would be an issue since i have 3 4ohm subs.

so yes, mylows10, there are options in my price range. i am looking for other suggestions thank what i have posted above so i can look for them. thanks.

i under stand but it sounded like you were looking for that power range and no more.as far as the audiopipe i personally would not buy one ,i hear the customer service isn't very good and i'm just not impressed with the product, and yes i have seen them in action at a db drag competition.so if i had my choice i'd go with the jbl amp.and yes it is bad for the amp to leave that 4th channel unused

ok, i was wondering about that 4th chan thing.

why so down on audiopipe? from what i have read around on this site, they are great little amps. they put out rated watts, small size factor, and very affordable. the only thing i have read is that they are a little "dirty" as far sound goes but from what i read that most people that have them on this site are pleased with the amps.

got a good friend who bought 2 of the ap 3000 one was messed up from audiopipe box wasnt damaged at all,he called them back told them the amp was jacked up they told him that he had to of installed it wrong ,he then proceded to tell them that he never installed it they basically tried to call him a liar.finally after 6 months they sent him a new amp ,so with all the bs he sold both ,also they didn't do as good as he thought in competition ,always got his woofers very stinky.he just wasn't happy with the whole deal

well, i am pretty sure i am going to go with the audiopipe apsm-1200 even though your friend had an issue. there are lots of people on this site that is quite happy with them. sorry your buddy had issues but that could be because of a lot of stuff. i am pretty sure that if there are any issues, since i am buying from vminnovations, it would be taken care of without much hassle.

but if anyone else has some actual suggestions of amps to look, rather than knock me and say its not possible, at i would greatly appreciate it.

thanks.
