a dd 2512 would be a good choice. they sound very good in the right box and can get insanely loud and will eat 1k with no problem.

im also in the same boat as you. Im looking into fi q, hdc3 or the idmaxv3, anybody know which of these would sound best in a smaller ported box? I can probaby do 2 cubes, but the smaller the better

If you want a little more SQ and a little less SPL the Mag V4 will work great on 1000 RMS and will impress with its SQ and only needs a 1 cube box sealed. If you are more towards SPL but want decent SQ the Fi Q gets my vote.
