Need suggestion for active setup. 50x4 or 100x2 to mids HU to tweets?

Hey all, ditching the stock radio because it's cutting off frequencies from the subwoofer tapped into the rear deck. And adjustability on the go etc etc.

Anyways my question is:

Should I just run my amp 50rms x 4 @ 4ohm to each mid and tweet up front. Or should I bridge the amp at 100rms x 2 @ 4ohm to my mids and run my HU to tweet somehow?

Amp - Hifonics BRX5016.5

Mids - Crescendo CZ6.5 mid, buying Silver Flutes next week

Tweet - Crescendo RTS-1, looking for replacements with better SQ same hole cutout diameter

Sub - IDMAX 12" V4 - Dual 4, ran at 2ohm

HU - Pioneer AVH-x2700bs (14rms x 4 @ 4ohm)

Thanks!

Trey

EDIT: it's 60x4 @4 ohm not 50x4.

In my head I'm thinking that power difference will be too steep for the tweets to keep up if I bridge mids. Then the other side of me thinks 50 to mids is not enough and 50 to tweets is too much. I know I can mess with gains but I need it to keep up with my IDMAX pushing around 5-600 realistically. (Rated 750 @ 2ohm)

I've never gone active only passive, sorry if this seems noobish.

Had Boston Acoustic Pro60, some Image Dynamics, RE components. Passive through crossover though.

Now that I look at the specs of the amp. It doesn't say it's bridgeable, however it's written on the amp where to bridge it....?

You ride a GSXR ^^^^?? Own a k4 750 currently.

It's a 5ch amp, Im pretty sure it is bridgeable ... My Kenwoods are ...My Cadence is, My MTX is ......ect ...

I just hooked it up bridged, definitely louder but the amp went into heat protection. Ground is good. Speakers are 4ohms confirmed. Only does it with signal to mids. Only took 10 mins to overheat, hotter than hell!

Nice bikes! Rode a bunch of bikes over past 5 years and love this 750 the best. Shame other manufacturers don't take a stab at that market.

I figured it might do that. I have heard that from more than a couple peeps about the HF 5 ch. Thats why I got the Kwood for my daughter car. I run it all 5 ch at 2 ohms and it has never shut down.

Try backing off the gains a bit .. it might work then ...

And thx ... I spend a lot of time on my bikes ...they are all rebuilt/modded from the frame up ...

Pretty sure you might be in clipping territory if you set the amp for 100 watts. Amp is overrated to an extent. Do you have strong electricals too? They need a lot of current to maintain power. My old hifonics without electrical upgrades get hot like crazy.

Its the only amp that pushed out around needed power at 2ohms for IDMAX unfortunately. Tried to keep it tidy/space saving. If it lived up to its hype it would have been an awesome amp. I just took it off my stock head unit and broke down to get an AVH-x2700bs to run active, this will back down gains a lot.

Just ordered Silver Flutes to take place of CZ mids, I had my tweets out for a while to replace with active RTS-1's and after listening to just the mids crossed over, I hear all their imperfections :/

You're probably right, voltage at amp is like 13.9 at full tilt.

If you want, you can try thowing a few cpu fans near it in a push pull configuration.
Yea I threw a Stinger 7 or 9" in there and it didn't help, and it's flowing well through the vents. When the front signal RCA's were disconnected it was cooler than a cucumber playing just the sub though after the fan. Leaving it in though.
