Okay, I have a pioneer receiver and the manual says:
subwoofer continuous power = 100w @ 6 ohms
subwoofer rms power = 125w @ 6 ohms
subwoofer music power = 167w @ 6 ohms
The 6.5" sub with it doesn't sound bad and gets loud for what it is. My question is what sub should I buy that has more output than the current 6.5"? Do I need to find a 6 ohms sub, can I run it at 4 ohms, or should I run it at 8 ohms. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something cheap that is louder than what I have now. The power ratings at 6 ohms threw me off, help guys. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
