Need SQ sub ~$100

I drive a 96 Mustang Cobra Coupe. Box-small as possible, probably .5-.75 cu ft. I'm thinking a single 10 will be the way to go, but what about the Image Dynamics 8 inch sub? I have always heard good about them, just not sure about the 8. My factory speakers provide enough bass, but it isn't clear at all. I am not into big bass. I don't want to feel it inside. I just want it to be heard inside the car. No vibration. I don't want to invest a lot of money in the system, so no deadening and such will be used. I like the looks of the DA sub, along with the MB Quart, but never heard much about them. SQ- I listen to rock/alternative/country. No rap or stuff with a lot of bass. As mentioned, just want clear, clean bass that isn't really loud. I have had a pair of JBL GTO 10's, way more bass than I was looking for. Thanks for the help.

coming from someone with an aq hdc sub, this makes me chuckle.

That jl subs is crap. Have you ever heard them? It sound like sh*t and has no output.

What do you have against AQ hdc's?

Here's a 12 that only needs .5-.75 cu ft sealed. 5.5" deep and only needs 200 watts or so. $68 shipped.

I only have about 13 inches of height to work with, so no bigger than a 10 inch sub. I think the Diamond Audio or MB Quart fits the bill. Still looking for other suggestions and also more input on those two. Thanks a lot.

OK, what else would be good, there have to be more than the 3-4 mentioned, half of which may or may not be good. I am still thinking about the ID 8. It fits perfect: small enclouser, within the budget, and should have good SQ (from what I hear). Only downside is that it is a 8, not 10. The ID 10 is out of the budget, so it would have to be the 8. Any thoughts? Thanks.
