need something louder than 2 12"l7's on a directed1100

ok im just curious here, not going to go buy something next week... but do you guys think i can get a sub louder than 2 12" L7's off a directed 1100?

i was thinking of just one nice 15" like mayby a XXX or re SX ? what do yall think? or should i just keep adding L7's +mayby another amp until im happy?

no... If you powered both L7's with a directed1100... then you would be set...

You are underpowering them which will not allow them to get loud...

The XXX15 in the right enclosure with the right power will be louder than the L7's. When i had my XXX15 in 4.5cuft @ 35Hz me and my buddy(2 L7 15's with an orion 2500d in a 8cuft box tuned to 35) compared each other he was a lil bit louder than me but i moved more air and wasnt that much away from him. I would do the XXX15 and put it in 4.5cuft and tune to 35hz and give it 2000w and i would bet you that it will get louder.

keep what you have, buy a better amp, make a better enclosure.Then if your still not satisfied buy a new sub.

um. prolly not.

L7's take 700~900w RMS imo. you are giving them 500~600 RMS. remember - you wont SEE that much power running music, so its more like 300 RMS.

imo - build a new box. if that does not suit you, get a bigger amp for that new box. if that does not suit you, cut your head off.

I replied based on comaprison. I said in my case it was almost as loud as 2 L7 15's.
