Need some wiring and sub calibration help

Start with everything turned down. Turn up your LPF (low pass) to around 60hz. Set your Subsonic filter (if you have one) to around 15-20hz.

Power on the amp and play some music. Slowly turn up your gains listening for anything unusual. Since you haven't listed your head unit type/model, I can't advise you on what amount of voltage it puts out, to set your gains to. Usually I tune by ear, and rarely have to go above 1/3 - 1/2 way. Most amps will begin to have slight distortion when driven over 50-70% gain, so keep it below that if possible.
