My Freezer 7 Pro kept my cpu much cooler than my Zalman 9700. Well, not much cooler, but 4 or 5C under load cooler.Yep I agree, got my E8500 stable at 4.75ghz, the stock speed is 3.12ghz. Im using a Zalman 9700 headsink and Artic Silver 5 thermal paste.
I bought an Acer 24" HD display (does 1080p) so I game at 1920x1080 that's probably why I still have problems with Crysis. It's not bad though 1080p Very High DX10 with 16xQAA I get 27-32 FPS it's definately playable. With my tax return im gonna put my water back in and get water on my Gpus, which is so expensive for 260 water blocks, can you say 150$ a block?, then get another 24inch mon in there and take out my 19
12,846 is pretty low for a gtx260. Or else your CPU is bottlenecking the score. I scored 11,700 on 3dmark06 when I had my 8800gt installed then when I installed the gtx260 and got 18750 or so, then I oc'd and past the 19,000 mark.Thats a neat set-up you got goin there. I went from a 9800GT to a GTX260 and im slightly disapointed, My 3Dmark 06 score didnt change at all. I'm only gettin 12,846 for some reason.
I hardwired my 9700 to a fan controller, it's hella fast now compared to hooking it up directly to mobo. The Every 1 used as5 if ur a builder, I have the 9700 in now and I hate it, it can't adjuste the fan speed automatic, only the 9500 does, and that looks gay //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif other wise i like the cpu
I got the e8500, corsair 850watt powersupple, xfx 780i mobo, 4gb Kingston HyperX PC8500 all for $300. That is why, cuz I got the hookupMy Freezer 7 Pro kept my cpu much cooler than my Zalman 9700. Well, not much cooler, but 4 or 5C under load cooler.
Oh and why wouldnt you just get the e8400 and save money? It will overclock just as high as the e8500.
By the specs of it, it's a great board, but a lil expensive. I'd look @ the XFX 780I, I had great ocing results with it...anyone care to give some opinions on this mobo?
ASUS Striker II 780i
thinking of pairing that with the Q8200...
it takes some shit to "destroy crisis"... and dont tell me it doesntFor $900 you can get a Desktop computer that will literaly destroy any and every game you throw at it (even Crysis). As for a Laptop, Ha you'd be lucky to get 10FPS at 640x480 lowest settings in crysis depending on the laptop you buy. If you happen to get a laptop that can play crysis decently (I don't think they really exist yet) you'll spend about 3k+.
thats dookie. i got like 18k on my core 216Thats a neat set-up you got goin there. I went from a 9800GT to a GTX260 and im slightly disapointed, My 3Dmark 06 score didnt change at all. I'm only gettin 12,846 for some reason.
